Prince Mahesh Babu may be a rare one to be seen on the silver screen but whenever he comes, he creates a bang. That seems to be the case right now since Mahesh has been off the hook since two years. However, he has been roped in for one of the most prestigious and patriotic projects.

This is the famous song ‘Mile Sur Mera Tumhara…’ that came 20 years ago and advocated National Integration. Now, the same song is being shot and sources say that from Andhra Pradesh, it is going to be Mahesh leading the song. He would also be accompanied by badminton players Gopichand and Saina Nehwal.

The young star has also been busy with the shooting of his new movie under the direction of Trivikram Srinivas. More than that, all are waiting to see how Mahesh would be seen in the National Integration song and this would indeed project him at a broader level though the cause is noble.

Prince Mahesh Babu is one man who is known to be quite choosy about his scripts and roles. So, many are often focused on the director of the film since they know that he must have enough material in him. Right now, one name has come across as a surprise in the circuit.

This is none other than Kiran and he is yet to make his arrival. Well, Kiran is currently busy with the shaping up of his debut film ‘Kedi’ with Nagarjuna and Mamatha Mohandas. Now, there is news that he has been able to impress Mahesh with another story of his project and that is confirmed.

Currently, Mahesh is busy with the shooting of his new movie with Trivikram Srinivas and it is heard that he has another project (with Surender Reddy) lined up after that. So the chances are that the venture with Kiran would work out after a while. Keep watching this space for more details.

To all those who have been waiting eagerly to know what is happening in the love life of Rambha, here is some news. The pretty girl is all set to get engaged to the Canadian businessman Indran. The date has been fixed as the 27th of this month and the venue is the famous Park Sheraton in Chennai.

It is heard that the official statement was issued by Rambha’s brother and this is going to be a grand gala event. The list of celebrities is going to be quite large but then the media has not been invited. However, Rambha is said to be having a separate briefing with the press later.

Indran is 37 years old and Rambha whose real name is Vijayalakshmi seem totally in love with each other, as per those who have spotted the duo. As for the loyal fans of Rambha, this might come across as a pinch in the heart but then they send their best wishes to her. Congrats Rambha!!!

Boney-Sridevi To Distribute ‘Ishqiya’ in India

Boney and Sridevi Kapoor’s film and television entertainment company BSK Network and Entertainment Pvt Ltd has acquired the all-India theatrical domestic distribution rights of Vishal Bhardwaj’s forthcoming movie “Ishqiya”.

Releasing Jan 29, the movie is BSKs first release this year after its last year’s hit “Wanted”, a statement released by the company said.

Co-produced by Shemaroo Entertainment and Bharadwaj, it is the directorial debut of Abhishek Chaubey. It stars Naseeruddin Shah, Arshad Warsi and Vidya Balan in the lead.

Apart from “Ishqiya”, BSK will also release two of its in-house productions – “Milenge Milenge” and “It’s My Life” – this year.Other future projects in BSK’s kitty include “Mr. India 2″, “Be Positive” and “Most Wanted”.

My Father is a real ‘Veer’: Salman

Bollywood star Salman Khan, who is awaiting the release of his pet project Veer, says his father, acclaimed screenplay writer Salim Khan, is a real Veer (braveheart).

“My father is a real ’Veer’ as he has always faced tough times with courage and I salute him for that,” Salman said in a press statement.

“I remember, when I was young, I flunked in maths. I was terrified to face my father and disclose the fact to him. Somehow I gathered guts to tell him; to which he politely reacted and told me not to worry and spoil my vacations. Exams are not the real test. Still, ’beta agli baar zara dhyaan se padhna (Study well the next time),’” added Salman.

Veer has been penned by Salman himself. It is a story set in colonial India and encapsulates a period when the British enslaved India with their divide and rule policy and kings and nawabs fell for it, except for the Pindaris who preferred death to dishonour and fought till their last breath.

Salman plays one of the bravest and strongest Pindari soldiers in the film, which releases on Jan 22.

Victory venkatesh’s latest upcoming movie Namo venkatesa is doing a big business in the state as well as in the overseas.The overseas rights were already sold at a recorded price in venky’s career and now, the price sold for distribution rights also creating wonders. According to sources, the distribution rights were sold for Rs.1.55 crores in just Guntur district alone.

Srinu Vytla- Venkatesh and Brahmanandam’s combination and the film being full-length comedy entertainer is the main reason for the distribution rights being sold at high prices.

This film which is still in the final leg of its preparations is now going to be released only in February as producer D Siva Prasad Reddy is planning for an audio launch only during January end. Suzanne Roshan is busy giving the final touches to Shilpa-Kundra’s house, which is the toast of the town already. “Though the work is still on, people are already complimenting the interiors of Shilpa’s home,” revealed a source.

“Suzanne’s designs spell sophistication. Right now, she is occupied with Shilpa and Kundra’s house, which comprises two floors of a six-floor apartment in Juhu.”

Meanwhile, Suzanne has expansion plans right now. “She has bought a spacious property in Andheri recently, where she plans to set up her office. Till now, she has been operating independently from her Juhu home and now she wants to move into her own office.”
