Movie Story: Alexander Payne, the creator of the Oscar-winning Sideways, in Hawaii, “descendants” is a sometimes humorous, sometimes tragic journey of Matt King (George Clooney), an indifferent husband, two daughters, who forced to re-examine their past aa and embrace his future when his wife is the victim of a boating accident in Waikiki. The event led to a reconciliation with their daughters, while Matt is faced with a decision to sell the family land passed from the Hawaiian royalty and missionaries.
