Angelina Jolie Surprise Visit To Afghanistan
Hollywood actress Angelina Jolie made a surprise visit to Afghanistan this week to meet with refugees in the country torn by war.
The 35-year-old, who is a goodwill ambassador to the UN, skipped the Oscar ceremony in Los Angeles on Sunday night and instead flew to Kabul on Monday reports contactmusic.com.
Jolie last visited the country in 2008.
At the end of his visit this week, the Oscar winner has issued a statement asking for help to the millions of refugees struggling to survive in Afghanistan.
“The focus should now be on rehabilitation, which means not only the creation of shelters, but make sure it is water, employment opportunities, a school for children and medical clinics,” he said.
