The Indian Star Katrina Kaif “Disturbed” By Tax Issue
Katrina Kaif has criticized the reports as it is under investigation for tax evasion, says she is “disturbed” by the charges.
The Indian star has hit the headlines earlier this week (begs24Jan11) by representatives of the country’s tax authorities have confirmed police had raided the offices and homes Kaif Priyanka Chopra and peers, besides a number of other names of Bollywood above.
Tax Department Director-General of the DP Gaur confirmed on Monday (24Jan11) that the characteristics of the actors were “looking for and what materials are acquired are recorded for further action”, but refused to go into further details.
However, a “crazy” Kaif has come to the claims and insists that all tax payments are current.
A statement issued by his accountants added: “Katrina is cooperating fully with the Department (of taxes), which she holds in high esteem.”
Kaif is said to earn $670,000 (£446,670) per movie.
