Shai (Monica Dogra), a wealthy investment banker on leave, strikes an unusual friendship with Munna (Prateik), a handsome young boy machine (dhobi) with the ambition of being a Bollywood actor and a brief dalliance with Arun (Aamir Khan), a talented painter. Munna more cons like Shai, Arun discovers in her new home a secret Yasmin (Kriti Malhotra), the former tenant who gives meaning to his lonely life. As they slip away from familiar moorings and merger transactions, the town finds its way into the gaps in their inner worlds.
