New York Film Critics Circle on Monday named film Facebook “network” the year’s best film, best director and gave its director David Fincher honor.

Armond White, President of the spokesman for the influential critic and head of New York Press, said the election was not in the first count of the members, but have begun to reduce their selections for a second turn, may decide “social networking”.

The other major awards, Annette Bening role named best actress and lesbian mother of “Kids Are All Right” and Colin Firth took the prize for best actor for his role as British monarch stutterer “The King’s Speech.”

“Social Network”, which recounts the early days of the popular Facebook website from its foundation to its first million members, has fared well with critics and audiences since its debut earlier this year.

This weekend, the Los Angeles Film Critics Association has chosen the best film in 2010, and earlier this month, the U.S. National Board of Review also named best film.

Awards, critics and other industry panels often influence of movies, actors and directors to compete in Oscar-film honors.

White said the New York Film Critics group, judging by their choice, is likely to be the story of a “social network” because it documents the emergence of new forms of media.

While “social network” took two honors from the New York critic of the group, the independent film “The Kids Are All Right” has done all three.

Add to Bening for Best Actress, writer and director Lisa Cholodenko and co-screenwriter Stuart Blumberg won the best screenplay, and Mark Ruffalo, who plays a sperm donor father, was named best supporting actor.

Veteran Melissa Leo was named best supporting actress plays a dominant mother in the boxing movie “The Fighter”.

Matthew Libatique received the award for best photograph with the ballet drama “The Black Swan.” Best animated film went to “The Illusionist” best non-fiction film “Inside Job” foreign languages “Carlos”, and the best first feature film for the Australian film “Animal Kingdom.”
